New blocks for printing are made by hand from teak or rosewood but some blocks have been in use for 200–300 years. Motifs for the prints are geometric or floral sometimes inspired by the 1500-year-old printing in the Bagh Caves.This fabric Meticulously made by master artisan Mohammed Rafik Ji Khatri, who practices the age-old art of Bagh block printing in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh, this fabric is a testament to skilled artistry.
