About the P-TAL Kansa Dinner Thaali Set (Thaali -13.5") – 8 pieces set (1 pc Thaali, 5 pieces bowls, 1 pc glass, 1 pc spoon)

A Kansa thali set has traditionally been used in Indian households for multiple generations. Made of bell metal, P-Tal’s Kansa Thali Set includes a large plate (thali), bowls (katori) made of kansa or kansya, one glass, and one spoon. This set is often used for serving a variety of dishes in a single meal, showcasing the diversity of flavours in Indian cuisine.

Kansa has several health benefits ranging from therapeutic qualities to balancing human doshas to enhancing digestion! This is a must-have combination of health and legacy.

There are ways for you to test the authenticity of Kansa. For example, it is a brittle metal, and if beaten with another metal/ material, the product acts as a singing bowl.

1. What is Kansa?

Kansa is an alloy (metal) of tin and copper. Since every Kansa product has tin present in it, it does not require a tin coating or Kalai.

1. Kansa is one of the best metals to eat food from.

2. It does not require any major cleaning efforts. Interestingly, the color of Kansa enhances with every wash.

3. You may find different colours of Kansa/Bronze in the market, since there is no standard procedure of making it. Higher the consistency of tin more whitish tone would be visible in it.
