You can use a normal dishwashing soap to clean the utensils from the inside and Pitambari or a paste made from Flour (Atta), Vinegar/lemon Juice, and salt can be applied on the outside to retain the shine of the utensils.
1. Since brass and copper are good conductors of heat, cook food on medium to low flame. This would also help you to save gas. They are an intelligent step towards sustainability.
2. Do not leave the patili on gas without oil, as it might melt the Kalai, quickly fading the coating.
