Information
Barton
The Barton takes its name from our favorite local swimming hole, Barton Springs, where ROKA was born. This versatile, modern square frame has classic aesthetics that can go anywhere, and it's packed with technology that makes it equally suited for a long trail run, mountain bike ride, or a lazy summer afternoon by the water.
Borrowing from our award-winning performance sunglasses, the lifestyle frames of the Barton feature ultra lightweight TR-90 nylon, which are lighter than acetate or polycarbonate, nearly unbreakable in daily use, and impervious to chemicals. The Barton also features our propriety GEKO™ technology, both in the temple grips and in our patented, interchangeable nose pads. GEKO™ is a hydrophilic compound designed to get tackier when wet or sweaty, which helps our glasses stay in place when you're active – working out, hiking, bending down to pick up the groceries, or playing with your pets or kids.
At the end of the day, all of this tech is meticulously engineered to deliver the performance you'd expect from sport glasses without having to look like you are about to step onto a racquetball court.
The Barton can also be made in non-prescription sunglasses, non-prescription readers, a regular distance prescription, progressives, and prescription sunglasses.

BETTER.
Harmful artificial blue light from our computer and phone screens, specifically at the 455 nm range, signals our brain to stop producing melatonin. Without melatonin production we take much longer to fall asleep and wake up way more throughout the night. Sort of explains that zombie feeling, right?
